Regardless of your website being new or an established site you can always come across this issue where your can SERP Disappear.

There could be a variety of factors why this can happen and I am going to cover most of them here and this should give you an answer and hopefully help you fix it.

Why Does SERP Disappear?

Search results can disappear and re-appear on Google and other search engines as they test out your results to find out where is it best relevant to be placed.

Even though a lot of factors do come into play when it comes to testing your search results, it can be concerning if these incidents keep happening at regular intervals.

Read below as I list down some of the most common reasons this can happen to your website and also what you can do about it.

5 Reasons SERP Disappear

Below are the most common reasons your pages or posts can keep fluctuating on Google.

1. Google Algorithm Update

Google regularly updates its algorithm to keep its search results relevant for users. Even though your website might be great and contain only original content.

If your website doesn’t comply with Google’s algorithm update then you will come across a lot of fluctuations.

Google’s core goal is to always give the users the best possible content that is out there and if your website has been affected by it but you truly think that your website is following all the guidelines then you might not need to worry as your ranking will come back.

You can always stay updated on Google update here.

2. Fairly New Website

When you start a new website Google has no way to tell if you are an expert or just another spammy blog or a website. For this particular reason, they tend to test the waters before they can show your website to all of their audience.

When you publish your first few blog posts, you might notice for the first few days you might be ranking on the first page or so but eventually you will be pushed down.

As more people click on your page and stay there to find what they are looking for the higher your ranking will go but it will take its own time.

A new blog/website might take anywhere from 8-12 months roughly to get a fair position on the SERP. A blog post can achieve its full potential in about a year.

If your blog is new and you see your SERP disappear then don’t bother and just start writing your helpful content and it will grow on its own.

3. Bad Keyword Practice

A lot of people give really bad advice when It comes to SEO and you might have heard that keywords are very good for SEO, though it’s true anything too much is bad for SEO too.

Everything you learn in SEO needs to be done in a healthy, moderate, and natural way. When you tend to write for search engines rather than for people you might end up stuffing a lot of keywords which makes your site look spammy.

If you are having a plugin that shows you how much keyword is needed on a page, don’t force yourself to stuff unnecessary keywords.

Now, if you find your website to be filled with a lot of unwanted keywords on a blog post then you might need to edit them and keep only what’s relevant.

Doing this for your entire site may be necessary. The cleaner and relevant you keep your website the better for users and as well search engines.

4. Spam Content

Even if you have very little content it’s so much better than having a to of content that is spammy. You don’t want to write articles or posts just to get traffic.

Google is much smarter than you think, even if you try your best to cover your spammy content, they’ll know. So, make sure you have only original content.

What if I have spammy content?

If you find your website to have content that you would call spammy, it’s better to remove it and start fresh as those pieces of content aren’t going to do any good for you and your users.

5. Duplicate/Thin Content

This is a very important and complicated topic for newbies to understand. Duplicate/Thin doesn’t mean it’s copied or it’s less in words.

This basically means your website doesn’t have content that provides value to your users and even if you have a post that is 3000+ words and provides no value whatsoever then it’s considered thin.

Another example would be if you are just rewriting content that is already out there without adding your own experience which is still bad for users and Google.

If you find your website to be filled with this, it’s almost always better to restart from the beginning.

6. Bad SEO Practices

Never try to achieve success the easy way, it might work for a very short period of time but eventually Google and users will catch up and you will be at a loss.

Always try to find the best possible way to give value using your website as a tool and focus on the guidelines of Google and you will be safe.

Also, keep in mind that you might want to read more than 1-2 articles or watch 2-3 videos more before you make a decision on how you want to optimize your website.

By doing that, you will make sure you know the concept well enough to not make the mistake of using bad SEO practices.

What can you do for your website?

If your situation falls under one of the above then make sure to get them fixed but if you can’t find any reason as to why SERP disappeared then you might want to wait.

Google Search Console

Make sure to have your GSC set up and go over to your console and see if you have any warning or is there anything you need to fix.

Google Search Console (GSL) will usually tell you what has indexed and what has not. You can utilize Google’s own tool to fix and see your status on the SERP.

Sitemap

This can be very important if you want your website to be discovered and your pages to be indexed. You need to have a sitemap generated for your website.

You can use a plugin on your CMS to generate a sitemap in a matter of a few seconds. If you using WordPress then you can use RankMath to do this for you.

Interlinking

No matter what your site’s category is, Interlinking your website can be very crucial for your users and as well as Google.

This basically means that from one page of your website users need to be able to visit any page they want. Make sure to provide proper navigation on your website.

Orginal Content

This might be obvious, you should always have original content on your website. Take your time to research and come up with the best content you can.

Implement your own way of writing a blog post, use original images on your website, and link out to trusted websites wherever it’s necessary.

Conclusion

This question has been asked on Reddit, Quora, and other forums which means it has been happening to many others as well and you aren’t alone.

I have come across this issue very often and the above is what I usually do to get my rankings back up. Sometimes you might just need to wait before you give up.

I hope this was helpful for you and I wish you the best in getting your website back out there.

Let’s rock the marketing with these amazing new trends on social media marketing for nightclubs. You might have an amazing nightclub but if you can’t reach your potential customers via social media then you’re truly missing out.

You might be seeing a lot of other businesses using social media to promote their products and services. We, on the other hand, are going to use some specific techniques used in social media marketing for nightclubs in 2021.

When it comes to nightclub marketing, you need to get very creative and publish content that people want to see. Analytics is key to determining how effective your marketing is. I will make sure to mention how to measure your results at the end of this article.

It’s not really about the frequency of your posts or stories but about always being able to be found when looked for. You should be able to set up your online presence in a way that even tourists who are looking to party shall find you.

Social Media Marketing for Nightclubs (2021)

Stand out from your competition as much as you can. Your nightclub should give off the most attractive features of your club via social media. Be that club that always engages with your customers and makes them feel special online and offline.

Socially Available.

When you are beginning to increase your social presence, make sure to be available on every platform. Wherever people’s attention is, be all over there. You can focus on 3-4 primary social media channels but it’s always key to be available everywhere.

Because not everybody is going to use Facebook or Instagram, some might just stick with Snapchat and you as a business need to pay attention.

A few easy places to start are

  1. Facebook
  2. Instagram
  3. Twitter
  4. Snapchat
  5. Google My Business
  6. Tripadvisor

You can begin by creating your business profile on each of the above.

Align with trends.

Nobody wants to be on a profile if it looks vintage, if that’s your style then it’s cool. Generally speaking, if you have low-quality posts and stories the human brain would just scroll through. Be updated with the trends of what the nightclubs around the world are following.

You might want to hire a designer to give you modern designs for your posts and stories. Do mention the style of photography that you think would resonate with your nightclub to your photographer. I still see nightclubs using the 2000’s style of flyers and posters and let me tell you, it isn’t pretty.

Just head to google and type “Nightclub trends 2021” and you will find a ton of creative ideas out there.

Engage.

You see, the whole point of creating social media is to get closer to your customers. Customers don’t prefer accounts that act as some sort of robot instead, they feel connected if you engage with them. People might come up with a lot of questions, critiques on your posts and stories. Regardless of it being positive or negative, the key is to always reply to them.

If a person visits your venue and posts a picture about it on his profile then like, comment, and share it. Obviously, take it down if the customer doesn’t want you to share.

A few key points to follow are:-

  • Always respond to your customers.
  • Let them know you pay attention to them.
  • Engage with the posts they share about you.
  • Reply to even negative or positive responses.
  • Respond as soon as you can.

Automate your social media.

We are way past being manual these days and if you want to stay ahead of your competition then you have to make social media work for you. There are countless tools that can automate your social media marketing and it doesn’t cost you a fortune.

You can only do so much and be on time but these automated tools can help you. You just have to spend a few minutes setting it up and forget about it for almost a week. The reply to messages can also be automated which will make your response time instant.

Replying fast to your customers builds trust.

Here are a few social media automation tools:-

  1. Hootsuite
  2. Buzzsumo
  3. Mention
  4. Agorapulse
  5. Buffer
  6. Socialoomph

Attractive visuals.

You can take a look at social media accounts of nightclubs on how their visuals are. Some nightclubs even follow a certain pattern on how they post and announce events. In the competitive world of social media, you have about 3 seconds window to grab a customer’s attention. Which is going to be very difficult if you don’t have attractive and creative visuals.

Use the new tools introduced by social media platforms such as stickers etc to make it look cooler. Below are some of the examples of the attractive social media profile of nightclubs.

Mix-it-up.

Don’t make the mistake of posting only one type of content on your profile. There are some nightclubs that only post a picture of their flyers and nothing else. Can you imagine how boring it would be for the visitors? Those flyers do have important information but you need to be able to mix your content up.

People like to see the vibe of your nightclub and also your drinks. You need to have a combination of pictures of your venue, drinks, food, flyers, people, and the crowd. Also, feel free to share any type of relevant content that you think people might want to see.

Have a combination of the following:-

  • Pictures of your nightclub.
  • Pictures of people.
  • Your drinks and food.
  • Flyers.
  • Promotional pictures.
  • Menu.
  • Videos.

Maybe you might be following a pattern of posts but it is always a good idea to mix things up to keep your content fresh.

Consistency.

Have you seen any successful business who posts only once a month? I don’t think so. Consistency is key to convey to your customers that your nightclub is always happening. If you post only once a month or just during your event then it’s most likely that people would forget about you.

A good rule of thumb is to post 3-4 posts a week.

A good way to stay consistent is to keep a marketing calendar for your online presence. When you follow a marketing calendar, your social media will improve at a very effective rate. Make sure to schedule your post according to your events. Example:- You might want to post your happy hour in the morning of the working day.

Influencers.

The popular trend of influencers isn’t going to end anytime soon and there’s a good reason why. You see, people these days follow influencers more than they follow a brand as they feel more personally connected to them. In social media marketing for nightclubs influencers are the right choice to go for.

People tend to go where the influencer goes, but at the same time, it is very hard to find the influencers who are legit and worthy. In my experience of working with influencers, I have found that female influencers work very well.

We can’t deny the fact that it’s mostly the guys who love to hit the clubs to find attractive women and this plays in favor. These influencers sometimes come up with a lot of demand but are cautious when dealing with them.

influencer promoting nightclub

Measure your progress

You might have the best way to promote your nightclub but if you don’t keep track of where your time and money are being spent then you are set for a gradual failure. The best part of using social media platforms is that they come with free analytics tools.

You can go to the appropriate platform to check on your analytics to keep track. If you are automating your social media campaigns then the automated tool itself will give you analytics all in one place. If you need to watch a YouTube tutorial to learn how to read analytics then please do. When you do social media marketing for nightclubs, keep this as one of the main steps in your plan.

If you can’t measure it, then you can’t grow it.

Conclusion

No matter what business you are in when you keep your customers satisfied everything would go well. Social media helps in doing exactly that bringing the customers closer to you as a business. The steps here are a guide and not a set of rules that you need to follow. So, keep that mind when you are implementing these in your marketing.

Be as creative and unique as you can while promoting your nightclub. There are a lot of other nightclub marketing strategies that you can try and I have written about it here. I understand you came here for social media marketing for nightclubs but as a nightclub owner you will definitely have events in your venue and that needs promotions too. You can check out my event marketing article.

If you need any help with your work, marketing or ideas then feel free to reach out to me here. I am always free to help as much as I can.

The information found on real estate marketing on the web is almost outdated. This post brings you fresh real estate marketing ideas and strategies for you to grow your business.

Regardless of you being a company or just an agent, you can utilize almost if not everything in this blog to help you succeed.

We are going to go over all the best and the most effective strategies to give you a great head start.

Even if you are new to this, stay tuned! at the end of this, I am going to give you a real estate marketing PDF for you to download and use.

So, Let’s get right to it.

Real Estate Marketing Strategies & Ideas

The following are the best ideas for you after a good amount of research and experience.

1. Get online with a website

You will be missing out on hundreds if not thousands of potential customers by not being online with a website. It cost barely anything to create a website these days.

You can use something like Wix or WordPress to create a quick website and show off your properties. Make sure you have your contact details at a click.

Real Estate WordPress Theme

Having a website also builds a lot of trust with your potential customers. Offer a free call or even a free tour around your properties with a quick call button or a contact form.

You don’t need to have a very fancy website, the following points are enough for a decent real estate website:

  • Property showcase.
  • Quickly reach you via your contact.
  • Decent design.
  • User-friendly
  • Loads quick.

That is fairly easy to achieve for a big reward. Putting in a little bit of time in setting this up can take you a long way. If you don’t have the time for it, hire someone to do it for you. When you have a website you can save a lot of money in advertising in real estate marketing.

2. Get a Real Estate Photographer

Hire a real estate photographer to make your properties look visually appealing to your resources and audience. It’s just a one-time investment and you can use those images in various places.

real estate marketing

It doesn’t cost much to do that and also one of the reasons you should hire someone is because if they have a social presence they will post your images on their profile and other places. That will give you and your properties more exposure.

If you really don’t want to do that or cannot find anyone. You can use your own phone to take really good pictures.

3. Blog Section On Your Website

You see having a website is pretty essential but you need to explore the potential of your website. What I mean by that is, having a really helpful blog.

When you start to blog about everything related to real estate or even real estate marketing and talk about your experience, you will start gaining traction. The more you are available online the more people will trust you when you provide them with value.

Write really good content and be honest and unique. Think about providing value to your readers. This will also help you get traffic to your other places such as your social media or even your landing page if you have one.

4. Virtual Tour of Your Properties

Human beings are visual being and this is why YouTube is one of the most popular platforms these days. People simply like to see anything before they buy it. So you as a real estate agent or a company need to show off your product to them.

Make your virtual tour content made available via your website, social media, and YouTube. Below is a video of a Virtual Tour for Real Estate.

You can check out what 360 Video Camera to buy here

5. Social Media Influencers

This method is very good if you find the right social media influencer. You need to do a few research before finding someone. Once you have found the right person you can pay a quick buck to feature your property.

Make sure they have actual followers and not some fake followers. Cross-check their engagement with their followers. Also, keep a note that they are local influencers and are relevant. Keep in mind that this is finding influencers for real estate marketing and not an event company, make sure they are relevant for your business.

Marketing Real Estate

You can use a platform such as Heepsy to find influencers near your area.

6. Virtual Tour (360 Images)

As I already mentioned people love to see before they buy. Same thing for your property if you make a very appealing 360 images of your property and set it up so that they get a virtual tour it would help in your conversion. There are actually very few people out there who have incorporated virtual tour into real estate marketing. Be the first few to this trend.

Real Estate 360 Video GIF

Real Estate 360 Camera

There are a lot of ways to find the best and cheap 360 cameras on Amazon.

7. Virtual Video Tour

There isn’t a better way to showcase your property than having a video tour. You can start a YouTube channel on your name or your company name and upload your showcase videos of your property.

Real Estate YouTube Marketing

The reason that this works well these days is that you get the audience from YouTube and also YouTube’s video links will be indexed in Google and that would bring in more traffic to your website. You see the key factor in real estate marketing is to be one of the first to utilize the trends.

It is always good to have your own YouTube Channel to help your business reach the next level.

8. Instagram Paid Promotion

Instagram promotion is a great way to generate leads. Regardless of your campaign goal, Instagram is an effective platform to run your ads in it. If you want to collect your potential leads you can go to Facebook Ad Manager and choose “Lead Generation” and will help you acquire leads. People really haven’t explored the potential of lead generation in real estate marketing.

Real Estate Marketing Lead Gen

The reason I recommend using Lead Generation is that you will get your customers details which then you can use to contact them and close the deal.

9. Facebook Paid Promotion

Facebook is very similar to Instagram and the only reason I have mentioned it as a separate is that the audience differs. If you are going to use both Instagram and Facebook it is more effective though.

Real Estate Marketing Lead Gen

Facebook consists of a different audience group vs Instagram. It’s all about what best works for you and your business. You can try out the paid promotion between Instagram and Facebook and see what works best for you.

10. Use Referal System

This is a perfect system that can bring in very trusted leads for your business. All you need to do is either use an online program for referrals or just do it manually. See the stats below on how it can help with real estate marketing.

Real Estate Stats

Value your customers and do a very good job and offer them a small reward for referrals. This will go a long way as the person who is referring you will refer you to someone who trusts your referral.

11. Google My Business

Google My Business is a very important factor in getting clients. You see Google isn’t just for Website SEO and there’s more to it than that. Local Listing can sometimes bring in almost 80% or more of all your business from Google.

Google My Business Real Estate

For keywords such as “Real Estate in Atlanta,” you should be at least on the first 3 results of the listing. So head to Google My Business & go ahead and signup and set it up. If this needs to work make sure you set up your profile correctly.

When you are starting your real estate marketing, this needs to be the first step.

12. Get on Yelp

Yelp reviews are one of the best ways to build trust with your upcoming potential customers. You can ask your customers to give you feedback on Yelp.

Real Estate Yelp

Keep in mind not to bother your customers to give you feedback. Let them give an honest review of your service and the more genuine it is it’s better.

It’s good in a way that you will do a good job with your customer and it would be a motivation for you to provide a really good service.

13. Get Your Profile on Zillow

Zillow is a real estate marketplace and that will help you secure relevant clients. Make your profile attractive and professional and showcase your properties.

Properties Marketing

Zillow receives about 31 Million Pageviews a month and that will definitely play a role in your business. If needed you can also opt for paid promotion with Zillow

14. Newspaper Ads

I know what you are thinking but there is still a bunch of old-school people looking ours for a newspaper ad for their property hunt. Apparently, newspaper ads are still trusted than online advertising.

According to The Works, newsreaders happen to be earning above average. You should really consider getting your property ads on Newspaper. This a unique step in real estate marketing.

15. Local Radio

Never underestimate the effectiveness of Local Radio and how it can play a big role in your business. It doesn’t cost so much to do a local listing in your radio station in your area,

Study shows that for every $1 spent on radio advertising they gain back $12. So, if you are looking to focus mainly on the local side of advertising do consider adverts on the radio. There is no excuse to not incorporate this into real estate marketing.

16. Property Booklet

This is something that many people neglect the property booklet and they are truly missing out on so many opportunities.  You might need to spend a little time on getting an attractive booklet that you can hand out to potential buyers.

Imagine if you are in a seminar and instead of handing out just your business card you can give your property booklet. That would create a very good impression on your business.

Real Estate Advertising

People might forget your business card but the booklets always standout and whenever they get to see your properties and remember to give you a call. I mean you are anyway going to do all the real estate marketing so why not do it right?

So, there are a lot of free resources that you can use online such as Canva to create your own brochure or hire a designer.

17. Lead Generation Page

In real estate marketing, it is necessary to have a great online presence, and to utilize the online users you need to explore lead generation. You see, there are times when people would be looking for a property and would just come to your website and just leave.

We don’t want the potential customers to leave, we need a place to capture them and convert them. Even if they don’t convert at first you can always keep them in your mailing list to showcase your other properties and which they might be interested in.

Worst case scenario those leads will always turn to something good. Doesn’t hurt to keep potential leads at your fingertips.

You can either have your own lead generation page on your website or you can use something like ClickFunnels

Give your customers or potential customers a feel of your brand. When they see your logo or your name they should instantly know what your company is made of.

Branding shouldn’t be taken lightly and it can bring you great success. If you are going to spend some time on your real estate marketing then allocate a little time on creating or improving your branding.

Make sure to have the following:

  • Logo – That actually represents your company visually.
  • Letterhead – A letterhead for your business when you print any document regarding your company.
  • Brand Guidelines – Your brand guidelines should be on point, your branding person or the designer should be able to give you this.
  • Envelope design – Envelope should also contain your branding.

26. Increase Your Brand Awareness

In real estate marketing, when you don’t have brand awareness in your strategy you might be up for some confusion along the way. You see, regardless of what you are marketing and where you are marketing.

29. Use Google Adsense

Google Adsense is another form of advertising you can engage on and you can also bring in leads pretty quick. They are one of the best ad networks in the world right now.

Companies have been using Google Adsense for their real estate marketing for decades now and it’s still effective to this day.

30. Use Snapchat Ads

Snapchat even without the paid promotions it can be great for real estate marketing. Snapchat paid promotions will give a new range of audiences around your locality.

If you are regular in posting you don’t really need to opt-in for Snapchat ads but if you are looking for some quick lead generation then head to Snapchat and run your paid campaign.

Snapchat Real Estate Marketing

31. Use SEO on Your Blog and Website

SEO is the greatest way to improve traffic overall and evergreen traffic on your blog or website. Search Engine Optimization in real estate marketing can bring you leads even when you are sleeping.

I know that sounds silly but I have made my entire income for my business for almost 3 years with just a few days of working on SEO. You can also hire blog writers on Fiverr to write for you.

The hiring people to write part make sure that they know what is SEO and are experienced in it. You don’t want low-quality blog posts in your blogs.

32. Have other Blogs Write About Your Property

This is another great way and has multiple benefits for your real estate marketing. Guest posting or other blogs writing about your properties that can bring traffic to your website or even give you a backlink.

Keep in mind that not every blog is going to write about you and you might need to spend a few bucks to get them to write about you. You can also use emails to reach out to potential blogs.

If that is hard for you to achieve then you can also offer to write them a blog post and in that blog post, you can put probably one link back to your website.

If you want to know how to write a great blog post, then watch this video below.

33. Partner with Local Businesses

Real estate marketing doesn’t always have to be about digital sometimes and you can use the help of other local businesses around you. Having local business partners you will be in advantage compared to your competitors because it’s the possibilities are endless.

Partner with maybe a construction company or even an investment firm anything that is relevant and where your potential customers will be hanging out.

Offer some value to your partners. You could partner with furnishing companies where you can send in your new customers to where they would be able to shop. The furnishing company keeps your banners in their shop for other customers who are looking to buy properties or even rent out.

As I said, the possibilities are endless and each business is unique and it’s up to you to decide who you want to partner with. You could also try to partner with insurance companies.

34. Sponsor Events

Remember I mentioned increase brand awareness? This step will help with that too. In real estate marketing if you want to succeed then you need to make sure your company is everywhere possible.

Sponsoring local events can help you display your products and services to a large number of audiences at once and it can easily get people talking about you.

Real Estate Marketing Sponsor events

Wouldn’t you want your logo in there? Explore this option if you see some potential around your locality for real estate marketing.

35. Host Webinars

You as a person can definitely offer some value to other people, right? Why not make it into a webinar and give those values to others. Everybody loves to get value and you could do something like “What to look for when buying properties?”.

You can get a whole bunch of people to your website and your other resources when you put yourself in a place of value. There are a lot of free services out there that you can use to make your webinar.

Additionally, you can also do YouTube live stream if that is your thing. Once you get good at real estate marketing you can also teach it to others.

36. Host Free Seminars

Nothing beats marketing your products and yourself face to face. This step takes you one step further in real estate marketing because it gets a little intimate.

When you host free seminars a lot of people are going to join mainly because it’s free right? Yes, and also if you truly be helpful to them then you would be able to bring in some leads via seminars as well.

You can use your social media and other handles to announce your free seminars around. It’s always a good idea to do a free webinar first and then moving into a live seminar.

37. Use Your Properties to Advertise

Property signs are pretty much what I am talking about. It’s free and easy to achieve because all you need to do is put up a sign in your property about the property.

It’s not necessary to just advertise that property, you can advertise your company as a whole. You see, real estate marketing doesn’t always need to be about spending money on ads and promotions.

This step is free and easy to do as well. See below is an example of a simple banner that can generate leads. Marketing Real estate

38. Attend your Local Seminars

It isn’t necessary you should always initiate your marketing, for a change you can attend your local seminars around to start networking. Being an agent of a company doesn’t matter here.

If you have been following this guide then just know you can use your creative business card here to give out and also your brochure to get your potential leads.

39. Get on YouTube

YouTube is by far one of the best ways for real estate marketing. Why? Because it’s hot right now and it isn’t going to go down anytime soon. You just need to make a few videos and it gets watched by thousands of people.

You can showcase your properties or you can use YouTube to offer value and bring in relevant users to your business. Having a YouTube channel is a recommended step.

Don’t worry about making Hollywood type of videos, it just needs to be pretty decent enough and helpful for people to see.

40. Make Educational Videos

Finally, show off your skills and also teach them to others. This works because again, it brings brand awareness and spreads your word around.

Even if you are an individual you yourself are a brand right? it can always help to bring in some great clients along the way. You won’t believe how valuable your videos can be.

Currently to my knowledge, I have only found about 1-2 actual helpful videos regarding real estate and real estate marketing. There is still a lot of gaps that need to be filled. You never know you could be the next big thing in the real estate industry. Educational videos are a great way for real estate marketing.

Choosing the best digital marketing channel for your business is pretty crucial. That is because if a certain platform doesn’t suit your business then you’ll mostly be spending a lot of time expecting results that won’t come.

As a business, you need to know when and what to prioritize and what needs the most resources. You see, there’s not a set rule that you should only choose a certain digital marketing channel. At the same time, the right one should be prioritized in order to acquire the maximum results for your effort.

Every business is different and just because the most popular companies use a certain platform doesn’t mean it will work the same. It’s not that hard to choose the right one or choosing a combination of a few.

Let’s go over the list of digital marketing channels available and then we will discuss how to choose the right one for your business.

List of Effective Digital Marketing Channel

Social Platforms

Social media is no more for connecting just with friends, almost every brand uses them to connect with their customers and to advertise. These social media platforms are very popular and we now have a variety of different ones to choose from. The reason social media is been a very effective method is because of the volume of users and also these platforms give you a wide variety of tools to advertise and help your business.

Some businesses get away with just using social media as their primary marketing platform. Let’s see the differences between a few of the most popular platforms as of 2020.

Pinterest

Pinterest with over 320 million active users and with seven out of ten are female users. The pin sharing social media is a great way to grab those traffic if that suits your business. If you can come up with attention-grabbing pins and build a community around your brand then success is guaranteed.

Paid advertisements are also available with Pinterest. Their business and ads manager is packed with wonderful tools that will help with running your marketing.

Facebook

Facebook is one of the largest social media networks in the world. There’s not one person that I know of who doesn’t use it. I personally drove a lot of sales and traffic from Facebook to my business. Facebook can be used even as an organic way to build trust and traffic to your business. There is a drawback with using Facebook as organic as Facebook doesn’t want its users to leave their platform.

In most cases, their paid ads do so much better than organic ones. You can reach a wide variety of users with Facebook ads and they have so many options for your business.

The business manager from Facebook has so many advanced features to use and their targeting and retargeting are on point.

Instagram

Instagram is also owned by Facebook and that gives you an advantage. Businesses can run ads simultaneously on Facebook and Instagram which makes paid ads on social media pretty easy. Since it’s combined businesses get amazing tools to work with. At Facebook and there’s no need to have an Instagram account to run sponsored posts.

If you are going completely organic it is very necessary to be regular with your posting. The algorithm favors the accounts that have the most engagement and people react positively to it.

There’s nothing to lose in having an Instagram account as well, it will come in handy in many different ways. If your business needs visual advertising Instagram is the best for it.

Snapchat

Snapchat is really popular among the younger crowd mainly. They too have paid ads which is the only thing I’ve seen it to be very effective for my business. Even the consistency here plays a crucial rule.

If you think Snapchat would be the perfect fit as your digital marketing channel for your business then, by all means, give it a go.

Twitter

Twitter is been longer than most platforms and it’s still doing really well. Many politicians even use this as a digital marketing channel for their campaigns and awareness. Twitter has over 145 million active users and in that 20 million approximately are Americans.

Twitter isn’t just a text platform anymore and you can also share images, videos, and just text if you’d like.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a perfect platform if the company you are marketing is in the B2B industry. Filled with business professionals of all kinds, it is a perfect way to professionally or even directly connect with them. The company’s brand image is very important in LinkedIn and it is worth spending time to customize your profile.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Search engine traffic is priceless as it is organic and will last long. The traffic will be coming straight from trusted sources like those big search engines and that helps with customer’s trust. SEO can be tricky if you don’t know how to do it the right way.

Your business obviously needs a website for SEO and this would come under the organic traffic category. Some businesses survive just with SEO traffic. Personally, I think every business needs to have a website and work on their Search Engine Optimization.

Email Marketing

Email marketing still works wonderfully to this day. From the giants to small businesses, all of them invest their time heavily in email marketing. Collecting your customer’s emails (with permission of course)  and sending them hard to say no offers is a great way to make them convert.

Consider doing this if you haven’t done this already. Following are some of the best email marketing tools:

Pay Per Click (PPC)

Pay Per Click is a great and effective way to drive traffic to your website or your product page. It’s a form of paid ads and that would mean you need to set aside a budget for you to spend and expect results. Google Adwords is a great example of this and it can drive traffic either to your store, website, or even get direct calls to your business.

Video Platforms

Video is a newer form of marketing when it comes to the digital marketing era. One of the best ways to advertise your products and business as people love to see visual ads more than text comparatively. YouTube, Vimeo is amazing to create visual content that grabs people’s attention.

Affiliate Marketing

You can reach also opt for Affiliate Marketing that you pay a commission in return for a sale of a product. It is pretty effective because of the companies or even influencers who are sending you affiliates. The small commission you pay is a very big motivator.

There are also platforms that help you track these affiliates and create easy sharable links.

Choosing the Right Digital Marketing Channel

When it comes to picking one, it is a matter of analyzing the business and customers to pick the right digital marketing channel. There is no rule or anything and don’t limit yourself. Below are a few factors to consider while choosing it:

Customer Analysis

The most important thing while choosing your digital marketing channel is to make sure you know your customers and potential audience. Check if your audiences are limited or wide.

If your customers seem to be spread across every age group and country then you can pick almost any of the above platforms or a combination of few.

Define your Budget

Your budget is important and when I say the budget, I also mean the time that you would be willing to invest in the marketing. The best part is you can also start with a minimal budget. There is no need, to begin with, a high budget into it when you are just starting out.

You can also start with a minimum of $10 to begin with.

Analyze your Team

Team’s strength varies from companies to companies and knowing it itself is a plus. Once you analyze your team’s weakness and strength, pick the one that your team can perform the best.

Don’t think of expanding your team until you have started and experimented well.

Goals & Milestones

Listing your goals and milestone will save you a lot of fo time and money. Make a document of your future micro and macro goals that defines every plan and your chosen platform.

If you have the right idea on where you want to be then it will be clearer to pick how you want to get there.

Analyze your Competition

This is the easiest way to choose as it is a shortcut method. Analyzing your competition will help you to find exactly what methods they are using and all you need to do is to follow what they do.

Experiment

Do not forget to experiment and fail fast. The faster you fail then easier it is to succeed. You can start with a minimum of $10 and utilize it to experiment. Pick a platform and try it out.

You don’t even need to spend anything, Try an organic method such as organic social media marketing or email marketing which doesn’t cost you anything.

They say the most important thing is the content but it has to be the “Contagious Content” that actually catches on fire. First of all, you need to understand that your target is basically your audience and nothing else. If you want your content to catch on fire then you need to give your audience what lights up their brain.

You see, you need to trigger some sort of emotion on your audience that will help set your content on fire. Every big company knows the secret of making content go viral and it all comes down to the psychology of people.

Either for social media or making products, these techniques will and can apply.

That is the only secret behind making content catch on fire. I am going to tell you the list of reasons why content becomes a contagious content.

Things that make up a Contagious Content

Not a huge list of things but the main factors that create the sharability or virality of the content are below.

Emotions

Emotions that people feel when they see your content plays a huge role in the virality of your content. Imagine the last time you shared something or you saw people sharing.

Everyone wants to share it with others so that they can also share their emotions. If you see something joyful and you want to send it to your friend because you want them to feel the same.

Some people say that only positive emotions play a key role in the virality or the contagiousness if you will, but I strongly disagree. I think even controversial topics or even negative ones do go viral for all the wrong reasons in most cases.

Emotions that are very popular among the contagious content are:

  • Happiness

  • Amusement

  • Surprising

  • Anger

  • Scary

  • Lust

  • Hope

  • Sadness

Emotional Triggers In Marketing

I am not saying you should use all of them while creating your content but you can pick one. Scroll below for examples.

Storytelling

People love stories and it is one of the reasons that most brands tend to make a lot of money and sales by using stories. When you advertise your products with a story, people tend to remember it and it has an impact on the audience.

You can either have a story behind your product or make a story involving your future customers in it.

Sharability

The sharability factor directly impacts your shares. Companies these days care more about the engaging content than it being visual or helpful. When you create contagious content, ask yourself if this is sharable and would you share it?

The key to sharability is trends. Either you set a trend or take advantage of the current trends. The most shared type of content is pictures and videos.

Social Value

You should also keep an eye on the social value or social proof of the person sharing it. Does it make the person who shares it look good?

Content can get shared over and over again if it makes the person sharing it look good. This is one of the reasons that many of the negative content shared a bit lesser than the positive ones. Imagine Coca-Cola posts a picture with its brand with a meaningful message, things like that get shared.

This is why Gucci products get shared as it makes the people who share look good.

Herd mentality

This means going along with the crowd. If everybody is doing it then even you would do it. If it’s a trend and the whole world is doing it then your audience will also do it.

When the whole world is talking about something, if you incorporate it into your brand then it is proven to do well. This is a bit obvious but it’s one of the main factors in contagious content.

Triggers

Triggers and yes emotional triggers aside I am talking about the trigger factor that happens when someone gets. This is more specific to creating triggers that challenge someone and appeals to them.

Anything that challenges the audience to take action. You can combine the emotional trigger with appealing triggers.

Curiosity is also an effective trigger.

Value

Not the social value but the actual value of the content helps even in the marketing. If your content doesn’t contain anything crazy but brutally helpful than it’s a win!

You see, content is the king and it is and it will always be. There’s no denying that and no matter at what age we are in. The helpful content will always help you win.

Examples of Contagious Content

An Example of Social Value that makes someone look good for having the product.

Examples of Contagious Content

An example of Triggers used in a product.

Triggers in Marketing

A great example of Emotion Triggers that create a bonding with the customers and the brand.

Emotion triggers in APPLE marketing

Tesla’s example of storytelling.

Tesla's Storytelling in Marketing

Conclusion

The bottom line is that you need to be pretty creative while creating contagious content. You can even combine multiple trigger factors to create it and keep in mind not every business is the same.

It works,

These proven principles do work because if it doesn’t then the biggest companies in the world won’t do it.

This is a quick guide on how to use social media marketing for restaurants. Lots of reasons why you should be using it and I am sure you know about it already and it’s 2020. The only problem is that most people and so-called social media marketing gurus can’t really bring in the results.

You, on the other hand, are set for a great start as you are already here learning it the right way. You see, I don’t want to make it boring for you by giving you the generic tips and tricks. I am going to try to keep it as unique as possible. But keep in mind that I can’t skip things that are already proven to work.

Does your restaurant need digital marketing? Well, Obviously you do but then it is always better to understand why you need it as well. Don’t ignore the basics as that is the foundation for greater success.

Why you need it?

According to Sproutsocial,

Social Media Marketing Stats

As of 2020 March, Below are some facts.

#Food  – Has about 375 million posts.

#Drinks –  Has about 41.4 million posts.

#Restaurant – Has about 33.9 million posts.

#Happyhour – Has about 13.6 million posts.

Source – Instagram

The above is just Instagram and people tend to use a combination of more than one platform. You yourself might be seeing an ad every 3 seconds on social media. All that shows is that it is very effective to drive customers to your business if done correctly.

You see, there are a lot of factors to be considered when it comes to social media marketing for restaurants. Just a low-quality post wouldn’t do that trick.

So let’s begin…

Social Media Marketing for Restaurants

Assuming you have already created a profile and done the basics. It is time to implement the most effective tricks as of now.

Organizing your handles.

I am talking about your online social media handles i.e. your social media profiles. They say you need to be careful about your first impression and this is literally your impression with your potential customers online. The way you place yourself can help the restaurant go a long way.

Social Media Marketing For Restaurants

The above is an example of a nicely done Instagram page of a restaurant. If you see on the example, it really gives off the vibe of the place and it also gives perfect information that a customer would need before they make a decision. This is done by someone who knows very well on how to do social media marketing for restaurants.

Visual Content.

Humans are visual beings and they love to see things and we are going to implement this concept with great looking posts. When you are trying to advertise something on social media, it always works better when there’s an amazing image to it. For me, 80% image/video and 18% text and 2% links have worked really well.

Research says “Visuals in any context are processed over 60,000 times faster by your brain than text is”.

If you are introducing a new dish or a product in your social media for your restaurant then use a great produced video. When it comes to video you need to keep it short and simple. You have a 3-second window to grab your customer’s attention.

A good example is below of how you should represent your page.

Social Media Marketing For Restaurants

Contest for engagement.

Yes, the contest for engagement. Social media marketers don’t simply run contests for fun and there’s a good reason why. When you go deeper into how social media works, you will see that engagement brings growth to your accounts. The more likes something gets the more reach it also gets.

Your contest should usually have to do something with like, share, tag or follow as you are offering them something in return. The main benefit of running a contest is not just engagement but also more reach for your business overall.

Benefits of a contest:

  • Contests can boost your social media following.
  • It engages your customers with your posts and brand.
  • It creates excitement in customers.
  • It helps in creating more user-based content.
  • It has more impact than a normal post.

If you are running a contest that has a prize in it, you will be able to ask your customer to send a selfie or even take a picture with your customer and you get fresh content. When you do this, it’ll encourage other people to involve more into your brand the next time you run a contest.

Engagement.

Aim for engagement and keep it as one of your primary goals when it comes to social media marketing for restaurants. You know how much impact it can create and always ask yourself is this post sharable and if your audience likes it.

Having a lot of engagement gives social proof to people who are yet to engage in your posts. Create a poll that you think people would engage in and get the engagement flowing.

Content that triggers engagement:-

  1. Exciting content
  2. Polls
  3. Controversial posts
  4. Funny content
  5. Surprising content
  6. Contagious content
  7. Posts that acknowledge trends

The above are a few of them but it’s always about your creativity and there’s no limit to it. Feel free to try out and don’t be afraid to fail. It doesn’t matter if it’s social media marketing for restaurants or another type of social media marketing it’s always good to fail fast and improve.

Respond to your customers.

Regardless of the customer’s comments being positive or negative, your job is to reply to all of them. People these days don’t even bother calling via the customer care line and instead they open up their social media and try to contact the brands.

When you don’t reply to a comment on your social media, keep in mind that it is public and other customers will automatically assume that your customer service is poor. Hence, you should keep this as a priority to reply to them everywhere.

Responding to your customers also brings engagement and engagement helps your brand. It’s a win-win situation and there’s nothing to lose. I personally take a good amount of time in just doing this and this has made me close a lot of deals with customers just via private messaging. I mean you are doing social media marketing for restaurants which means you can’t skip this step.

Paid Ads.

This is a big one in the industry and It will be as that is the main source of income for all the social media platforms. Sometimes and especially if your business is brand new to social media then it will be a good idea to use paid promotions until you have a good following,

You see, social media doesn’t show your profile or posts to a wide number of people until you use paid ads for your posts. This is because most of the social media’s algorithm is programmed that way. If you are having a new event upcoming and would like it to reach more people than your following then you can run an event promotion advertising.

You will be able to double or even triple your reach according to your budget. If you are going to run paid promotions then make sure you utilize as much as possible.

Marketing Calendar.

If you are reading my blog for the first time then you wouldn’t know I add this point everywhere. A marketing calendar is very important to build consistency in social media marketing. You will also be able to plan way in advance and it will also make your workflow easier.

There are so many companies and brands that totally skip this and even I skipped it when I first began but I wish I started using it sooner. You see, if you don’t have consistency in your posts then people will forget your brand and you don’t want that. Also keeping a plan like this will also make sure you doný annoy your customers.

Another benefit of having a calendar is that you will be able to measure your marketing effort, time and also will give you more room to improve.

Retweet Or Repost.

Reposting other relevant or even your vendor’s posts gives your page a different content. It is good to repost other’s content as it will ensure freshness in your posts. If it another bran’s post or video you are reposting then they are most likely to repost yours and that will increase your following.

If you are retweeting and reposting a customer’s content then it would make them feel special and that would increase the connection you have with your customers. In social media marketing for restaurants, it’s all about having a pretty diversified content once in a while on your page.

Be less robotic.

There’s a reason why people still prefer talking to a real customer representative than an automated robotic helpline. This is because we humans love to connect with other humans. Many brands tend to be very robotic and they only post and never reply or they make the content too serious.

Have fun with the way you are posting and the way your content is presented. It’s basically showing hospitality via social media as you do in your venue.

Time your delivery.

Time your posts and deliver it to your audiences at the right time. You don’t want to post about your event that is taking place next quarter, today! right?

So, just use your common sense while you time it. A great way to know what works best for you is to measure your past engagement and then use that data to time it. I really hope the following data will actually help and give a good understanding of it.

According to Sproutsocial, the timing to post for consumer goods on

Facebook:

The best time is Wednesday at 1 pm and Friday at 11 am.

Weekdays from 10 am to 5 pm.

Instagram:

The best time is Wednesday at 3 pm.

Weekdays from 11 am to 5 pm.

and yes, these are a good time to note but it actually just makes sense if you really think about it. Personally, I think it’s always more effective if you experiment and find out what works best for you.

Conclusion

When you are implementing these techniques and tips on your social media, make sure to first find out what works best, and measure your results. Take every advice you see online and not just one article even if it mentions “The complete guide”. In marketing regardless of online or offline, it’s all about your creative input and the ability to make decisions. A big step you should always include in social media marketing for restaurants is that you should measure everything and data is your friend.

You finally hit that digital marketing job? Congrats and welcome to the world of digital marketing. It is the future of the entire world. If we can’t reach people digitally where their attention is, then there’s no point.

Well, I am pretty sure you know the best parts of digital marketing out there but you aren’t here for that. You want to know how to begin your brand new digital marketing job. I am going to give you a head start and set you up for some sweet success.

The first day you might have a variety of thoughts running through your mind such as,

“Yay, I did it”

“I finally got what I want!”

“What am I doing with my life?”

“What if they fire me?”

“What if I can’t reach up to their expectations?”

Let me tell you, it’s okay that you are feeling the way you are. It’s always good to take some time to process the change. We as humans aren’t very fond of change.

It is indeed very simple and I understand you might be nervous or there might even seem to be a little self-doubt. I had the same thing when I first landed my digital marketing job. So I have listed the top things to do on the first day of your digital marketing job below.

First Day in a Digital Marketing Job (Tasks)

You have access to the entire internet and there’s vast information on everything you need to know. The first week shouldn’t be so hard as people usually think.

Analyze & Absorb.

You might have done some research about the company prior to your hiring but you wouldn’t get to know the company as you can now. Before you can even begin to do your digital marketing job, you need to be familiar with what you are working with. You can market something that you don’t understand. What I am trying to say is, be like a sponge and absorb everything about the company.

  • Notice how the workflow is in the company.
  • Analyze the staff
  • Read the company profile
  • Know who’s in charge
  • Study the product or the services of the company
  • Take notes of everything you see

There is no need to rush everything on the first day. If you just start absorbing and observing from scratch you’ll set you way ahead of others who don’t.

Learn the Product or Service.

I know I have already slightly mentioned this on the first point. That alone isn’t enough it needs a whole new explanation as it is one of the most or even the most important step.

Think about this for a second, if coca-cola doesn’t know what they are selling you think they would be where they are today? You see, every product is different, and not all of them need the same type of marketing. It’s good to know the inside out of what you are selling.

You can’t market something, that you don’t know!

That’s right, you need to truly believe what you are selling. You should be able to recite the product or service like a poem when asked. If you have a great understanding of the product, you can come up with a variety of ways to sell it. Dig up everything about the product including their flaws. Again, you can’t fix something if you don’t know what the problem is.

Ask questions & Be Humble.

It is your first day after all and there is no need to be cocky or shy. You can’t find out about something if you don’t ask for it. When you are asking for it, be as humble and down to earth as you can. Keep in mind that in some corporate companies, people don’t generally respond directly to your questions and they might ask you to wait until they have a meeting with you.

You can ask the following questions on your first day:-

  • What is my exact role in the company?
  • Who should I report to?
  • Who should I report to when the person in charge isn’t available?
  • What time is the lunch break?
  • When are my timings?
  • Who should I ask about the company’s products and services?

Prepare & Organize

Don’t skip this step and you will thank me later. Collect, prepare and organize everything you need to for your job on the first day. You can get help from the person in charge to get the basic things you need for your work.

Get your emails, files, marketing materials and if you are in charge of handling social media accounts, then make an excel sheet with their details and credentials.

A few basic things that mostly apply to all digital marketing job are as follows:-

  • Email
  • Company Profile
  • Social Media Accounts
  • CRM access
  • Analytics
  • KPIs
  • Time Table
  • Marketing Calendar

Competitor Analysis.

Know the competition as they can provide you a great value in your own job. Analyzing the competition is more like a short-cut when you are building your own marketing strategy for your company. The competition would have most likely done all the hard work for you and all you need to do is take it.

Digital Marketing Job

You can use online tools to find out. You can take a look at their social media accounts to find more about what they do and who are their customers.

In fact, you can even pose as a customer and call the other competitors to find more about them. Hey, it’s business and it’s fair to do that.

Feel free to experiment before you settle on one strategy. You can also look at their website and their website traffic analysis in order to find more about what you need.

Meet the team.

Meet everyone in the company and introduce yourself, they will all come in handy one day and be in their good books. I am not saying you should go and beg them to like you. You are marketing the company and they are all the company.

Each one of them can give you one or two things that you can learn from. It may be bad or might be amazing either way there is nothing to lose. When you talk to those people, you will get an idea of what is expected of you.

Keep in mind that not everyone is going to be friendly and sometimes people who are very friendly might not have great intentions. So, keep a safe distance while you do this.

Current marketing efforts.

Find out what was the previous and what is the current marketing efforts done by the company. This will give you a shortcut and cut your learning curve in half. You can learn from their mistakes and not repeat them.

Do note that maybe they might be doing it all wrong but it’s worth knowing. This will give you a clear picture of where they stand and why they failed or succeeded.

Analyze the market.

Yes, I am not saying you should do this on your first day but you can start preparing for it.

Why?

You see, one way or the other you need to analyze the market to do your digital marketing job, and the first day is a perfect day to start them. You don’t necessarily need to finish analyzing the market on the first day. Feel free to take more than a week to do it.

Get perfect clarity on your product, customers, and market. All of these will play a big role in your result.

Current stand.

You are in a job and mostly there’s going to be a probation period for you. This means, they are going to see how you did in your probation period and then they will decide if they need you in their company or not. You need to be prepared for this and also it is better to start from day 1.

You see, it’s all about results and how will you measure them? by analyzing where you started to where you will be in the future.

For your safety, pull up all the analytics of the company and everything you can find about it and prepare the data on where you are starting. It could be the number of Instagram followers or current Facebook engagement. Keep a note of all of them so you can compare them later and see your results.

This will also be a proof of what you will do by the end of the probation period.

Take a deep breath.

Yup, just as the above title says take a deep breath. It’s your first day and try to take it easy. Yes, you might feel like a lot of judgy eyes around you and that is okay.

Don’t sweat it, it’s just a job and it’s not worth stressing out so much. Either way, your mental health is very important in order for you to be productive and produce results.

Congrats and good luck with your job. Feel free to reach out to me via my contact page if you need any help. You can also check out my event marketing post if that interests you.

Event marketing is the key to a successful event or a concert. Before you can achieve a grand yet successful event, you need to know exactly how to promote an event. I have been in marketing for over 8 years and started my event marketing about 6 years ago. Worked with major event companies, nightclub marketing agencies, and corporate event management companies to promote events.

I have seen a lot of websites writing about the same topic, but they all end up giving the usual generic tips and advice that most of you already can guess. I’m going to try my best to make this article generic or give you the advice that you have seen countless amount of times. I will be giving out my secrets of event marketing that I and the other amazing marketers use that works.

When should you start the event marketing?

Don’t skip this part, I would suggest you pay attention to the time you are starting your marketing. The sooner the better. I have seen many companies start their marketing only 2 weeks or even 1 week prior to the event. If you start late then it sure wouldn’t be effective.

I would suggest at the minimum have about 3 weeks before the event. I personally start a month and a half before the actual event. By doing so I have enough time to measure my marketing and also execute my plan.

Online Channels:

When you’re trying to promote a whole event online, it’s necessary to create a buzz around your event. So that you can have everyone talking about it. Make sure to spend a good amount of time crafting the best and most engaging promo material for your event. Also, invent a new hashtag around your event so it can be spread around easily.

Instagram

It always comes down to utilizing one of the biggest social media platforms on earth.  Instagram is amazing to promote anything and the only thing you’ll be doing differently is to create super engaging event promotional materials. Use stories that engage with people like the ones with engaging stickers. Create a poll on stories that people can tap. The more engagement you create on your event promotions online the more likely the word is to spread around.

Facebook

At Facebook, you have to create an event page for your event. It is an easy one but a very crucial step, get the Facebook images and videos or any other relevant content ready and fill the details. You can also add your ticket link to the page making it easier for the users/customers to tap on the link and buy it. The more convenient you make it the more likely they will do it.

Facebook also gives you the option to opt for paid promotion for your event, so if you want, you can also boost the event and in my experience, it has bought in tons of crowd for our events.

Tip: Create a few short promo clips for your event and post it every alternate day (different clips). This keeps the marketing fresh and at the same time… it reminds people about your event.

Twitter

Tweet, tweet and tweet. Well, don’t spam but tweet as much as you can about your event. Mention the highlight of your event and create engaging tweets on Twitter to increase the likelihood of reaching people.

You can also post those short clips mentioned in the tip to spread the word around. Remember I mentioned to create a hashtag for your event? Yes, you can also include them in your tweets.

Snapchat

Snapchat has great potential to show off your event and reach a lot of people. Especially the younger generation and you can take advantage of the Snapchat Geofilter. You can create a whole new geo-filter for your event. You can read more about it from Snapchat here.

YouTube

The all-mighty video giant is the best way to promote your event. You see, people love to see things before they try it and this gives the best opportunity for you to do the same. Create an event promo or any type of promo that is relevant to the event you are promoting.

What we usually do is, create a promo video that triggers excitement to the viewers and upload it. If you don’t have a huge following then the only way to reach a lot of people is through video ads. Once the video is uploaded, go to YouTube ads and run an ad campaign for your video.

Event Ticketing Platform

There are many of those ticketing platforms that just sell tickets and when you add your event, you will get a platform plus a bunch of their users knowing the existence of your event. Most ticketing platform also gives you the option to opt for their own promotion.

If you have a pre-sale promotion then it will play in your favor. The more scarcity you create of tickets selling out the more compelling it is to buy.

Google

No, I’m not talking about SEO, I am talking about creating an event on your google my business. If you have the option to do this on your google page for your business then you’ll be able to do it. This option isn’t available for everyone but it’s possible only if you have a company listed with google business and the event option is enabled. This is a perfect tool for event marketing.

Blog

Get the blogs around your local region to blog about your event. You can also reach out to the blogs to make content about your event. If that isn’t possible then you can write about your event on your own website.

Blogs have also been shown pretty effective in event marketing.

News Websites

This is a paid method but this can be pretty effective to have if you can get the news to write about your blog. They will usually charge a fee for but it will be worth it. News website will also have both offline and online promotion and if you can get a deal for both at once then you’ve hit a jackpot.

Make sure to have a specially designed material for this one.

Email Marketing

If you have a list of emails from your previous customers or have a database of them, craft an exciting email with an invite and a ticket link and send it out to them. You’d be surprised by the effectiveness of this.

If you don’t have them then you can run a campaign to collect emails by offering them a discount for signup before the event and keep their emails to send out upselling content before the event. You see this is why it is recommended to start your promotions early on.

Your Own Website

Sometimes, if it’s a really big event, we create an entire website around the event which is usually a one-page site. The website helps to showcase more details and send them to a Call To Action (CTA).

You can also use this as a destination for all your ad campaigns that you run. You can also have your website to sell tickets, so it is a win-win.

Offline Channels:

Just online marketing alone isn’t enough and you will be missing out on a lot of people if you don’t consider the offline side of the marketing. Depending on your locality and your region, offline marketing often overtakes online marketing. Assuming you have already printed your promo materials and did all the necessary things, you can move to the below.

VIP Invitation

Print a good bunch of VIP invitation to give it to those people that you know will bring a whole bunch of crowd. There are always those people with a huge bunch of connections and they are what you generally call popular. This VIP Invites are for them, by doing this you are making sure that the word spreads around as people tend to follow those who are popular and reputable.

Group Invites

Along with the VIP Invites, print another bunch of group invites for the regulars that like to bring their crowd to the party. This doesn’t have to be a free invite, instead, it can be something like 50% off on tickets or so.  This will just encourage the people around you to show up.

They will also feel important and respected, after all, that is what you need to make a successful event.

Radio

Radio isn’t dead, at least not yet. You can spread the word even to those radio listeners and even if they don’t directly come to your even, it’ll help in spreading the word around (Word of mouth).

Radio announcements can be very effective and it is still one of the most powerful methods to advertise for event marketing.

Billboards

The population of both cars and people is increasing and most of them are out of their house. When people are out around a billboard which is almost everywhere, you can grab their attention to your event by having your event ad displayed where their attention is.

If you are located in a country with heavy traffic, this will be effective and keep in mind that these aren’t on the cheaper side. So you can even skip this if you’d rather have that money invested in other means of marketing.

Local Business

Local businesses are your friends. I am talking about having collaboration with your local brands for your event. You can approach brands to offer their product or services for your event-goers and in return, they advertise and sell your tickets.

This technique has been adopted by small and large event companies and it is proven to be very effective, at least from my experience.

Offline Promoters

You can approach offline promoters who sell tickets or even distribute your flyers around the city. They aren’t very expensive and you can have this happening on the side.

Do keep in mind that you might want to be selective with who you choose. Not every promoter is effective and does check their track record.

Conclusion:

So that sums it all up, these are channels that will help you do it but keep in mind these should be combined with other marketing techniques to make it work effectively for event marketing.

See, every event is different and each event should be thoroughly studied before marketing, There are a lot of factors to consider and I would request you to please take this advice and tips with a grain of salt and use your own ideas as well to execute your plan.

If you are just into marketing or you own a nightclub business this is the right place to start. I personally think that nightclub marketing is not the same as marketing a digital product. There is a lot of things involved when coming up with marketing your nightclub.

See, in this post, I am not just going to be writing about online marketing but also offline marketing as well. I think both of them play a great role in “Bringing the crowd” in.

Introduction

Before you can begin the marketing process for your nightclub, I want you to first make sure you fully understand your market and your customers. Assuming you know how your business is and also a good idea on how the customers and your market is, it is time to start setting up. You see, most businesses give their marketing to someone and fail to fill the gap in between.

What I mean by the gap is…

You can market all you want but you need to make sure when your customers come from seeing your promotions and marketing they need to be welcomed with both of your hands and shower them with encouragement. Most businesses don’t do that but the more you appreciate your customers for seeing your advertising and showing up, you automatically increase the chance of making them your regulars.

Once that has been established and you are pretty confident please proceed to the next step

Online Ways For Nightclub Marketing

1. Instagram

Yes, the obvious or one of the most trendy platforms of our time. Instagram does wonderful things to your business if you know how to use it the right way. Most businesses take full advantage of Instagram by utilizing it to the maximum and frankly, I think everyone should do it too.

People love to see food on social media and it makes obvious sense to show off your products there. Use a lot of eye-catching images that show your audience what you are about. In the nightclub scenario, the thing that people love to see the most is the so-called vibe of the place. The vibe is basically highlighting the most popular and fun things about your place, the crowd, the drinks, the ambiance and so on.

Start by creating an Instagram account and make sure your username isn’t too long and it is easy to find. Make sure to fill in all the necessary details about your businesses/nightclub.

I would suggest running paid advertisements and grow your Instagram organically as well.

2. Facebook

Facebook is another platform that has so many more features than what Instagram can offer. It’s just a fact that Facebook has far better tools for business than most platforms out there and you need to set it up the right way. Feel free to even redo the whole Facebook page from scratch.

First, create a Facebook page for your business and link it to the Instagram page so that Facebook knows your Instagram profile for your business. This linking will also give you access to better tools to promote your business from Facebook.

Once you’ve created your Facebook page and also have optimized it to the maximum. Start creating an event page for each of your weekend events and invite everyone from Facebook. What this does is it shows people that there is an event coming up and they can engage with your event page which then increases the chance of people attending it. Also, don’t forget to add the pre-sale ticket link if you have them.

3. Snapchat

I was pretty skeptical about Snapchat initially for nightclub marketing, but the more people started to use it then more I wanted to try it, If you want to gather those young audiences then don’t miss out on this. It’s basically just stories that you post and people get to see.

You will be surprised by the number of users. A quick google search will tell you over 200 million-plus active users are using the platform if that’s the case then there no excuse for you to not be in it.

Snapchat also offers paid promotions if you want to spend a little bit of your budget on it. Make sure you have done your research and if most of your audience uses Snapchat then feel free to try it out.

4. Tripadvisor

Tripadvisor is one of the largest companies that people use to read reviews. Over the years it has built trust with their users and it seem to be helping customers and businesses.

How you can benefit from it?

By just being in it, Tripadvisor is something people will look for before going to a club or a restaurant to see what they are getting into. Only customers can review your business there. Create a profile on Tripadvisor and make sure it looks very attractive and for the start, you can ask a few of your happy customers to review it.

Generally speaking, it has a large audience and the moment you get on it, someone would be ready to review it. They also offer paid promotions if you are interested but if you are just starting out then you can just stick to Facebook and Instagram for now.

5. Eventbrite

Eventbrite is a platform that specializes in selling event tickets, the reason I listed it on this list is that they have their own traffic. When you list your event there, you can take advantage of their traffic and also you get a platform for your nightclub to sell your event tickets.

You can also use your regional ticketing platform if you’d like but I am sure you get my point. The more convenient you make for your customers the more willing they’ll be in what you are offering.

Offline Ways For Nightclub Marketing

1. Flyers

Flyers might be an obvious one when it comes to nightclub marketing but I have seen some nightclubs just having a picture of their venue and that’s it. You want to stand out from the crowd and that can happen when you can make a simple yet attractive flyer.

The flyer plays a key role because of the visual information and the sharability of it. Most people just use the flyer to send it to their friends to invite them to the party.

I would suggest creating new flyers for every big event you have and use it in all your social media and promote it. The reason I have listed this under offline ways is that you can hire someone to distribute your flyers around your region.

Note: Just the flyer alone doesn’t have a great ROI. It is only effective when you combine it with other means of marketing.

2. Radio

This is big and yet skeptical for most modern internet nerds. Radio has always been the greatest means of marketing or reaching people. Though it might not get things as viral as social media can but if you are having a big event then consider investing in radio ads.

Example: if you are hosting a big event with a celebrity coming to your club then that’s a time you need to use this. That big event that happens once a year, even that is worth it when it comes to nightclub marketing.

3. Coupons

So let’s say, you have your new customers that are in your club, most people just go to a club and even if they like it never want to return back unless you give them a reason to come back.

That is exactly what we have coupons for in nightclub marketing. Print an attractive coupon for your customers saying something like “Get 25% off the on your second visit”.

The majority will come back and most of them don’t want a coupon to go to waste. I mean c’mon who wouldn’t want to get more offers the next time they return to a venue.

4. Invitations

Print a bunch of VIP-looking invites and hand it out to some of the good crowd and offer them to check out your venue. You can also make free invites to an event and give it to your regulars or a specific crowd.

You don’t need to always print free ones, you can also do a “20% off'” invites that attract people who mostly wouldn’t come to your venue otherwise. Make sure to use this as a convincing card for your customers to come back to your nightclub.

5. Word of Mouth

This is got to be the oldest trick in the book for not just nightclub marketing but for marketing in general. Getting the balls rolling for word of mouth isn’t that easy as you think but it’s doable.

Have a bunch of regular party crowd and keep them on your WhatsApp group and before every party you are throwing let them know and invite them.

6. Promoters

There is always a group of people calling themselves promoters for nightclubs and events. You got to find them and cut a deal with them to promote your nightclub.

Don’t underestimate these people and at the same time don’t settle with one group until you have tried others.  They usually have their own methods of marketing but you can co-ordinate with them to promote your nightclub and events.

7. Influencers

Yes, I am referring to those online influencers who usually demand a lot. There are some good ones that you can find but I am not suggesting to use them the way you think.

You see, these so-called influencers have real-life fans, if it is a woman then it’s even better for nightlife. Invite them and offer them a discount or whatever you can to make them stay. There will be quite a few people who will follow them to where they are going,

8. Companies

Remember those coupons and invitations? Yes, they come in action here. Take those coupons and invitations you printed and meet with the manager or the owner of the company and offer your invitations and coupons to them.

Usually, they will all come in big groups which will do you wonders. They will tell their friends and even if that doesn’t happen your nightclub is gonna look filled which in return making the other walk-in customers stay.

Conclusion

None of the above is in order or anything and you don’t have to follow every step though I recommend doing so. Having experience in nightclub marketing for years, I suggest please be creative while applying these to your business.
