Are you feeling like you are missing out on all the business opportunities? Well, I felt that too and I have been blogging and making income online ever since 2008. Things were so much easier back in the days than it is now. It’s not that easy as you might think, it is competitive but not impossible to do.
Here is the thing!
If you are working a 9-5 now and you think you need to be doing something more online, then I think you are in the right direction. See, let me tell you this the so-called “Making money online” isn’t easy if it was then everybody would be rich. Having that said, it’s the right thing to do in 2020. There are a lot of reasons why you should be considering. If you are a business owner you need to shift your business digital too as the majority of the audience is online these days. You are missing out on a lot of things if you haven’t done that already.
Why is getting online important?
But this article isn’t about the benefits of being online, everybody knows that and there isn’t any need for me to write an article about those benefits. I am writing articles for people who truly want to create content online and make a living out of passion. People who want to be their own boss and not work a 9-5 or a complete repetitive job.
Building an online empire for yourself is far better than having a bunch of tiny gigs that you do locally. I am not saying you should not do that but as long as your primary focus is to set up great online income sources you are good to go.
Let’s get started!
I am going be showing you the ways you can do them and keep in mind this isn’t a full tutorial on each topic but moreover a guideline of what you can do. Before I do I would like to answer the main question.
Should you shift your income from offline to online?
Yes and No. Let me elaborate that yes, you should shift your income online if you want to reach millions or even billions of people. No, if you don’t want to and you are happy with it. Yes, if you have a passion and you want to make money off of your passions. No, if your sole purpose is to just get rich online because it doesn’t work like that.
Let’s take a look at ways you can do the above,
If are not good at what you are doing, you aren’t very far from getting paid for sharing your knowledge with others. For example, I am what you call “Jack of all trades” I’ve learned to design, develop, to do digital marketing, make music and I can take each of the things I learned and create tutorials for people who want to learn.
There are a million ways you can monetize it. You can show off your skills on YouTube, Vimeo or even Udemy and reach millions of people online, If you were just sitting at home and expecting to reach thousands of people around your area, you know it isn’t going to work the same way as it would if you do it online.
Tools to use:-
You can use the following tools to teach online:-
Either you are a natural-born entertainer or not, it doesn’t matter as long as you are consistent there are infinite possibilities on how you can use entertainment to build a brand and make a living out of it. Whatever content you are thinking about in your head that you can use to entertain people online. There are always going to be people on the internet who would love to watch you.
The goal isn’t to make everybody in the world like you, it is to find those true fans that would love to see what you have to offer. My friend who is now a celebrity used a Facebook page that he created and started to put out a few 30-second videos and he now has a huge fan base for his content.
All it takes is that one little area that you are good at and take that and scale it to reach a wider audience. Regardless of what kind of entertainment you are into there is always a place online for you.
Below are some of the tools you can use to publish your entertainment content:-
The above isn’t the only tool, it’s just a baseline for you to start. Right after you get out of your comfort zone and start to try different things, its just a matter of time for you to figure out what suits you the most. It is about trial and error and doesn’t be worried about screwing things up.
Selling your hobby
Most of the million-dollar companies these days all have one thing in common. They all are a result of someone’s hobby. If you are into making DIY crafts and let’s say you start selling them online. It realistically has the potential to grow into a million-dollar company in the future provided you are ready to put in the work.
Whatever you think you can make 5-10 people around you buy then it is possible for you to make 1000s of sales online. All you need is a platform to sell your stuff. It could be physical products such as clothes, DIY items, Home Decor, Books, Vintage things or it could be digital products that you own like ebooks, templates, video courses it is easy to sell online if you can find the right audience for it.
Tools to use to sell online:-
This is by far my favorite one and I personally use this one for myself. I love creating content, it’s been my passion ever since I first discovered the internet. Honestly, the whole idea of creating someone online all by myself to help others. I often create videos, blogs, websites, designs, and apps. Everything on that list has different ways to monetize it.
If I am creating videos on YouTube then there are affiliates, ad revenue and so much more. If I am making a blog like this one, for example, I don’t know or haven’t decided on how I am going to monetize this but I can already think of at least 3 ways to do that.
Content creators are the pillars of the new age internet, it’s not just the big companies that are in the games. There are all kinds of people from every country you can think of and all kinds of age. If you can create some kind of content and have a following for yourself for it then you have your life set for the rest of the time.
It is such a powerful thing yet not that hard to do. The only reason I think people fail when they take this approach is that when people start creating content they seem to be concentrating on the wrong goals. You can’t be thinking about the monetizing part of making money as the main, that is just the part of what you are building, there is nothing wrong in that but keeping that as your primary focus will most likely end in failure.
As long as you are ridiculously helpful with the content you create you can’t really go wrong on your journey. You can follow my blog for more information on how to monetize your content effectively.

Whatever you are interested in there’s always a way to showcase that and all you need for that is a set plan on how you are going to bring it forward. If you are stuck on how to get started on any of this platform. A quick Google or YouTube search will bring you a ton of information that you need to start.

I will be writing more on his topic soon and there isn’t a reason you shouldn’t be doing this. Please don’t worry about competition or anything like that, people might discourage you by saying “There is already stuff on the internet”. Remember there is just one you on the planet and nobody can be you. That is what will set you apart from all the other people on the internet and especially from now on, if you aren’t totally yourself on the internet when you are building your following then it would be very difficult to be ahead of everyone around you.
The faster you get out of your comfort zone the quicker you will achieve your results and this applies to all aspects of your life, not just online. When this is implemented online the possibilities are endless. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.
